Travel to Quintana Roo including Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel, and the Riviera Maya continues without disruption. These destinations remain under a U.S. State Department Level 2 Travel Advisory, which is consistent with many Caribbean and other international leisure destinations. Recent media coverage has focused on Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, which is approximately 2,500 miles from the Caribbean resort corridor (approximately 30 hour drive time).

At this time, there are no active threats reported in Cabo San Lucas or San José del Cabo. Tourism operations in Los Cabos are proceeding normally, supported by established infrastructure and a strong security presence.

While no destination is entirely risk-free, informed travel practices significantly reduce potential concerns.
