We say this carefully, because it’s a big claim: Grace Bay Beach in Turks & Caicos might be the most beautiful beach in the world. TripAdvisor has ranked it #1 globally multiple times. Travel + Leisure agrees. And so does every one of our clients who’s come back from Providenciales slightly dazed, saying they’ve never seen water that color before in their lives. The color is real. The water in Grace Bay is an almost electric turquoise that shifts to emerald and sapphire as you move from the shallows to the deeper water. It’s warm, it’s calm (protected by a barrier reef), and it’s so clear that you can see your own shadow on the sandy bottom through 20 feet of water while floating on the surface. If a perfect beach is something you’ve been chasing, Turks & Caicos is where you find it.

The Islands of Turks & Caicos

Providenciales (Provo)

This is the home base for the vast majority of visitors, and rightfully so. Provo has the international airport, the most resort options, Grace Bay Beach, and a small but excellent dining scene centered around the Grace Bay area. The island is relaxed and unhurried in a way that the more developed Caribbean islands sometimes aren’t — there’s no cruise ship dock on Provo, which means the famous beach never experiences the tourist surges that can overwhelm Cozumel or Nassau’s Cable Beach.

Parrot Cay

A private island accessible by boat from Provo, Parrot Cay is home to the COMO Parrot Cay resort — one of the most beautiful and exclusive properties in the Caribbean. No day-trippers, no outside visitors, just the resort’s guests on a pristine stretch of beach with an exceptional spa and a standard of service that is genuinely exceptional. This is a bucket-list property for the right traveler.

North Caicos & Middle Caicos

Connected by causeway to each other and accessible by ferry from Provo, North and Middle Caicos are the least developed of the main islands, which means extraordinary natural beauty, almost no other tourists, and the sense of genuine discovery. Flamingo Pond on North Caicos is home to a large flock of Caribbean flamingos. Conch Bar Caves on Middle Caicos is one of the most significant cave systems in the Caribbean. These islands are worth a day trip from Provo for the curious traveler.
