About Me

A New Orleans girl since birth, Kelly thrives on festivals, culture, gastronomy, and of course, Mardi Gras.

While in college at Louisiana State University she took her first trip abroad, visiting Oktoberfest in Munich, and the rest as they say, is history. After college, Kelly settled back in New Orleans with her husband, finding that their destination wedding in Jamaica ignited a passion for travel for the couple.

After having children, her sense of wanderlust was only further solidified after she began teaching at her children’s French immersion school, where the teachers introduced her to a tremendous number of different cultures, lifestyles and places to visit! Having the good fortune of working with international colleagues showed Kelly the importance of really delving deep into local culture while on vacation. “It’s not only getting somewhere, it’s what you do when you get there,” has been a personal mantra of hers for years.

She has been traveling with her family since her two boys were only toddlers, planting the seed for their lifelong love of adventure. They have traveled by planes, trains and automobiles to visit foreign locations such as Hawa’ii, Italy, Costa Rica, France, Mexico, the US Virgin Islands, Scotland, St. Maarten, Canada, and Spain. Her most exoctic trip was sailing on a private catamaran with her husband around the islands of Bora Bora and Tahiti.
